THE POLISH UFO-CASES
By Robert K. Leśniakiewicz
August 1989 brought to us a very strange ufological event. In the night 4/5 August 1989, between 01:00 and 03:00 hrs in the night, through about 30 minutes, 50 witnesses watched three lights. They hovered above the ground on a low altitude at the suburban wood. Firstly children and their parents and teachers thought that it had been a plane or a helo, but the UFO had moved very slowly. Children got a panic, and it was very difficult to calm them down. One of the teachers called to the police and firemen. The UFO took off and disappeared in an unknown direction.
When policemen was coming an a scene, they fond 4 traces of the UFO's legs depressed in a ground and a ring of burnt grass. They got some samples of soil and the grass' ash. They were sent to the Voivodiship Police Station Criminalistic Laboratory in Cracow to examine them. That incident was examined also by the KKK field investigators.

That event took its place in the Feb. 15, 1990 in the Polish Tatra Mts. area. Five teenagers, who had lived in Poznań, disappeared mysteriously in a massif of the Czerwone Wierchy Peaks. They wanted to cross the route from the Dolina Małej Łąki valley onto a top of the Mt. Małołączniak (2,096 m above sea level) and next moved toward the top of the Mt. Kopa Kondracka (2,008 m a.s.l.). Next they wanted to go down to the Hala Kondratowa alp to the hostel. They did never reach it! During two-month-long rescue operation four dead bodies of those Poznań inhabitants were fond by members of the TOPR - the fifth one have never been fond. Official report made by the TOPR and police says that they were too exhausted and tired and they died for these reasons. But nobody could explain their fates to the end… And nobody knows, what really happened to the fifth member of the Poznań group.
This case is the only one link from a long chain of strange events and incidents, which had taken their places in the Tatra Mts. since 1912.

The fish-boat HEL-128 was sunk for the unknown reason on March 5th, 1992 in the Zatoka Gdańska bay waters. The HEL-128 had 8 crewmen. They were fishing on the Zatoka Gdańska waters, when the boat suddenly turned upside down and went down. Fortunately, almost the all crewmen were saved by other crew, which had been nearby them. One fisher sunk. Those five men noticed that the water at the HEL-128 had been strongly moved by something odd. They thought that it had been the Russian submarine.
It was not the first incident of this kind. Some yachts and boats have sunk there in the unknown circumstances, f. ex. s/y Janosik in 1975 or East German s/y Likedeller in 1980. Also mysterious ship m/v Cona disappeared in the Southern sectors of the Baltic Sea in 1985.
On Feb. 19th, 1994 in the same area there was almost identical incident with two fish-boats WŁA-7 and WŁA-17, which had had a collision with mysterious submerged object - the USO.
In every case, the Polish Navy sent the heavy ASW patrols to take over the probably submarines but fruitlessly. The mysterious subs were undetectable. It is impossible to undetect a sub in the 50 m deep water from a helo! They could not be Russian SS or SSB, however I know that they had had also the SSNs and SSBNs in the Baltic Sea areas. I saw some of them, when I served in Świnoujście Ferry Terminal - especially in a period of 1979-1985, when the Soviet Union prepared itself to the World War Three.

This story says of two young (17-years-old) girls. They vanished somewhere in the Kalacka Polana forest clearing in the Polish Tatra Mts. They disappeared mysteriously on Jan. 26th, 1993.
Both girls spent their 2-weeks-long holidays in Zakopane. At the end of their rest they bought tickets to Warsaw, where they lived. And their traces have broken for that time. Some people saw them on the Polana Kalacka alp at the noon. That is the last trace. Nobody knows, what really happened to them.
They were sought by the TOPR and SGRP on the our side of the Polish-Slovakian border. Slovaks did the same in their part of Tatra Mts. The girls have never been fond…
Personally I think that the both girls could be kidnapped by the Serb mafia, which had been active in the Central European countries like Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic. By the way - this mafia collaborated with the Slobodan Milosevic's secret services till 1998.

In the August 1994, I put down two next relations about two young women, who had disappeared mysteriously in the Tatra Mts. The first one was Miss Auszra Gustaite of Vilnius (Lithuania), who vanished somewhere in the Slovakian High Tatra Mts., nearby the Mt. Lodovy Stit (2,630 m). Two young men, who accompanied her, have not explained her fates. According to their relation, Miss Gustaite went away for a while and did not get back…
Another young - 17-years-old girl was Miss Teresa T., who had come to Zakopane to get a rest. She also disappeared mysteriously in the mountains.

The all Tatran cases have a common factor - in every case there were also seen the UFOs above the mountains or phenomena traditionally related with them. In my book 'Project Tatra' I wrote more about it. I'll send it to you as quick as possible. Now, I start my work on the Alwernia case. Be patient.
